I have to admit it; I love cleaning with bleach because I feel that it sanitizes, removes mold and mildew, cleans stains and kills germs, but many people do not like to use harsh chemicals such as bleach to clean their bathroom.

Here are some bleach alternatives:

1. Purchase oxygen bleach.  It can be found at most grocery stores and at stores such as Home Depot and Walmart.  The active ingredient in oxygen bleach is hydrogen peroxide which is nontoxic and odor free.
2. There are also a number of green products on the market that help get your bathroom clean.
3. Vinegar and baking soda are also great bleach alternatives.  Create a paste using these two ingredients (50/50) and some warm water to clean soap scum and other bathroom stains.
4. Another trick is to use half a lemon and some borax powder to scrub your tub.
5. Instead of bleach based products clean your toilet with borax or baking soda and vinegar.  Let it stand overnight and scrub.
